Description: This item is considered an antique collectible and is sold AS IS HOW IS; no returns/exchanges/refunds after sale and delivery of item. 1908 patented Joseph Hartmann steamer or rail trunk. Very good to great condition, some minor damage and wear as noted: 2.5" scrape along the top edge which removed some of the brass trim and wood beneath. The damage is obviously quite old as it is worn smooth from use and age.Original clasp lock is damaged, looks to be purposely brokenReplacement clasp lock is broken from normal useFlip buckle (non-locking mechanism) is missing the top clasp partOne leather strap is gone (brass hardware is on) The exterior is wrapped in birch wood paneling, brass trim and buckling with 2 one-direction castors on the left side to tilt & pull the case. One original leather strap is in working condition, and brass decorative banding and trim to add aesthetic appeal and sturdiness to the case as a whole. The case opens vertically in the middle, with 2 separate sections including the left side of drawers, and the right side being a wardrobe organizer with a working pull-out hanger mechanism and wooden hangers, all cinched with canvas straps when closed.A shoe section with a canvas cover is located on the bottom of the right side, under the wardrobe hangers.
