Description: Edith Heath showed her work at her first solo show at the Palace of Fine Arts in San Francisco in 1944, and the rest is history. Her ceramics were sold in Gump's, Neiman Marcus, Marshall Field's, Bullocks, and the City of Paris. In 1948, Heath Ceramics, in Sausalito, was opened. Original 1947 Coupe line, was followed in 1960 by Rim line, which found broad success with restaurant proprietors, and Plaza line in the 1980's. These lines remain in demand and have been in constant production. This is a classic and very collectible Coupe Line 3 slot Ashtray. The Color Glaze is Olive Brown matte and Black glossy. This Ashtray and Glaze are no longer in production. In excellent pre-owned condition. As always, Heath Ceramics' glazes and manufacturing had some inconsistencies but totally acceptable due to the handmade process (glazes, cone marks on base, marks when clay pressed or fired). Listing is for (1) Ashtray.Dimensions:Diameter 4 3/4"Height 2"I will combine packing/shipping if more than 1 item is purchased which may result in a refund or additional cost.
