Description: Scotty's Sled Shed Component Kit for Heathkit IT-12 and T-4 Aural Visual Signal Tracers.This is a full component kit that contains a replacement for every capacitor, diode and resistor, (excluding the potentiometers).This even includes a New Replacement Label for the Signal Probe. Included in this kit is a custom built circuit board to replace the obsolete 25mm Multi-Sector Capacitor.After months of searching for replacements I decided to have boards designed and built for these smaller Multi-Sector Capacitors.I have included an installation guide on how to replace the Multi-sector Capacitor with the new Multi-Cap Board.Additionally there are soldering posts included for the board to make it easier to solder the wires and resistors to the new Multi-Cap board. Also included is a new 1n34a diode for the probe. After working on several restorations I could not find a "most common component" issue. I have had a couple of units that every resistor was out of spec. Bad ceramic caps that became a 300 ohm resistor or extremely microphonic.Yet to find one that the multi-sector cap that was in spec and/or wasn't leaking.So I decided to make a kit to replace all the caps, resistors and diodes. What is unique of this kit, is that its not just the capacitors like other rebuild kits. If you have done enough restorations on old equipment, you know half of the resistors are out of spec and those film caps are shot or near end of life. I have installed these kits in multiple IT-12's and T-4's I have restored to ensure the quality of the unit (please visit my store to see what restored electronic units I have available). Sometimes 1/2 watts are out of stock and/or a 1 watt is cheaper.Or the blues ones are out of stock and I have to get black ones.These parts are aftermarket. I expect you to either know how to read resistor codes and/or use an ohm meter to validate you did install the 3.3M ohm resistor instead of the 330 ohm resistor.
