Description: This 5KHz Oscillator board (V1.2) is an upgrade to the TT-1 Tube Tester. Using a 3A4 tube the original oscillator it is very distorted and the 5KHz frequency measured 6.6KHz. (see photos) The upgrade board is 5KHz +/- 10 Hz and the distortion is about 1% or less. With this upgrade, the Gm measurements are more accurate and close to the original tube specifications. The installation is easy, only 4 wires. Remove the 3A4 tube. Using the exsisting screws, mount the oscillaror board to the side plate. Disconnect the blue wire from T2 and connect it to the minus side of C7. Connect the red wire from the oscillator board and connect it to the plus side of C7. Connect the black/red wire to the red wire on T2. Connect the yellow wire on the oscillator board to the brown wire on T2. Follow the calibration proceedure in the Assembly Manual. The oscillator includes the mounting plate and non-conductive screws and spacers and instructions.
