It has since gone on to become one of the most recognizable electric bass guitars in the music world in terms of both looks and sound. The “Mersey” 1962 reissue features flame maple back and sides and matching flame maple neck. The neck profile is the slightly “fuller” of the 500/1 offerings and sports a clean rosewood fretboard without side dot markers. The 1962 reissue ships complete with Hofner vintage strap and optional strap button for the neck heel. How Does It Play We give a thorough setup to every instrument that comes through our shop.
