Description: Carburetors are designed and manufactured by American mechanics to ensure the quality is qualified. This carb is universal and will work on any engine that has a square bore intake manifold and can use 600CFM electric choke The package contains came with mounting studs and several other linkage parts including a new gasket and breather gasket. Carburetor works right out of the box. After doing a little tweaking to get the linkage to mate up the car started right up. A little fine tuning of the idle speed and that was it. polished aluminum carburetor Suitable for the following applications: 1966 thunderbird 390 1966 427 4-spd Corvette 327 Chevy 1982 mustang 302 We will continue to add. Answer:Yes, you will need to get a Lokar Hi-Tech Kickdown Kit KD-2AODU Question:Would this carburetor Be good on stock Chevy 307 motor is in a 1923T bucket. Yes it's one best of the best I put it in a 65 Thunderbird works perfect Question:I have a 1967 ford t- bird with a 390 is this a direct replacement. Answer:It was for my 1966 Fairlane GT with 390. Question:I have a 74 trans am. with a mild cam and rocker arms. it has a 4 barrel edelbrock 750cfm. i need a new carb. what do you suggest Answer:Well it depends on your engine. The Holley is a 600 CFM carb so it may be too small for your engine. You need to size the carb for what has been done to your engine - what mods, size of the block. the formula I looked up on Google on the Speedway Motors website "The formula for calculating how much CFM (cubic feet per minute) an engine requires is: CFM = Cubic Inches x RPM x Volumetric Efficiency ÷ 3456. Any ordinary stock engine will have a volumetric efficiency of about 8 0%. Most rebuilt street engines with average bolt-ons have a volumetric efficiency of about 85%, while race engines can range from 95% up to 110%. Example: Using a 355 CID engine x 5,500 max rpm = 1,952,500 Take 1,952,500 x .85 = 1,659,625 Then 1,659,625 ÷ 3456 = 480 CFM" For me I had a 302 block bored .30 over with Edelbrock intake and heads, mild cam from Comp Cams and roller rockers and came up with this carb. It's more than I need but gives me some leeway for future mods but isn't too big for what I have now. Question:Will this fit on a 1978 ford f150 with a 351m Answer:Yes it will fit. Question:Dose it fit 1976 lincoln continental 460 engine ? Answer:yes but you will need the adapter spacer plate to bolt it on Question:Would you recommend this carburetor for a 77 Pontiac bonneville 6.6 400ci Answer:Yes, this would be a very good carburetor for that application. If you still have the original intake manifold you will need an adapter to make it fit. I recommend Mr. Gasket 1932.
