Fits up to 12-14 cars depending on how tall the cars are that you put into the unit (photo shows 12 cars). The blue plastic on the sides of the units is only a scratch cover, which is intended to be removed, and the units are made to be displayed as the "aluminum look" with aluminum colored (shiny silver) rails. The display units are flexible-they are designed to be screwed/mounted on a vertical flat surface, such as a wall, or the inside of a cabinet which some people have done. If the rails get bent down during shipment, mounting, or use, or if you want to slide in a slightly thicker card than the mainlines have, the simple fix is to slide a plastic butter knife or plastic scraper in the rails and they will be good as new. Also, to keep the cars from sliding out of the bottom, the bottom of each rail can be pinched and the cars will stay in place. I have sold over 200 of these to happy customers.
