Description: Howard Miller "MERIDIAN" line wall clock. very good condition. The hands are original. Some chipping to the white minute hand that could be touched up. I will leave that to the new owner. Textured ceramic body with a four-quadrant glazed designed face. The ceramic body was manufactured by Bitossi , Italy. The ceramic design is by Aldo Londi. The original metal hands and metal mounting bracket are from the prolific George Nelson Associates Design Group. The face is divided into wedges of yellow and orange glaze with a dark brown under glaze that denotes the hours and edges. There was a paper label on the back that is just a remnant now. Bitossi Italy and model number on back. (See photo). I have brought this to a clock repair in Denver, CO. Certified to work on Howard Miller clocks and it was serviced there. It appears to keep time well. This is a vintage piece that has been modified by the substitution of a battery clockworks. The originals were electric, but most have been modified as it sits on the wall easier. The existing battery clockworks are working but its accuracy is not guaranteed.The ceramic body is 14.25" in diameter and has a 1" depth. The metal mounting bracket makes the clock sit 2.5" away from the wall. This will be packed with great care for shipping, Insurance added.
