Description: H.R. Giger First Edition 1977/78 Salvador Dali Edition. The dimensions of this Edition are 16 1/2" x 11 3/4", and it is in excellent condition with some light wear to the spine. All pages are intact, with no rips, water damage, or smell. Necronomicon was the first major published compendium of images by Swiss artist H.R. Giger. Originally published in 1977, the book was given to director Ridley Scott during the pre-production of the film Alien, who then hired Giger to produce artwork and conceptual designs for the film. This first edition is only the second copy I have seen after some research online. This Dali addition is not like the one that is listed for 1,500. This rare first edition can not be found on the internet. After researching, I also have to conclude this to be a first edition, although printed in 1978.
