Description: This is a beautiful and hard to find piece of Fred Roberts 1950's western / cowboy themed dinnerware item, a HUGE Serving platter for meat or turkey. Vintage discontinued pattern name is "Chuck Wagon". Decorated with lariats, lassos, spurs, and branding irons in the center, with cattle brands around the rim. Great for any cowboy, western, or rancho collection. Hallmarks: None. Remnants of a silver round paper label en verso. Dimensions: 20" Wide x 15" Long x 2" Deep. Condition: Excellent giftable condition. Mentionable issues: 1) crazing without discoloration on far right of center top well (near the branding irons), 2) Image erosion on lariat above branding irons in well (see 2nd to last photo), and 3) Slight paint erosion on brand in the 4:30 o'clock position (see last photo). No chips, flakes, breaks, mends, repairs, cracks, hairlines, blemishes, or mentionable boo-boo's. Don't feel anything amiss when I run finger around edges. No signs of previous repair or restoration.
