Description: I present you with One of the most important Lily of the Valley jewels ever created !Important Victorian Art Nouveau Circa 1898 14K Gold Diamonds Lilies of the Valley Flowers Cabochon Sapphire Egg Charm Pendant 🌷 Fully hallmarked 56 for 14K and the initials ЯЛ for Yakov Nikolayevich Lyapunov (1898-1903), and the initials AT for Alfred Thielemann (1890-1910), both the bale and attachment loop are fully hallmarked as illustrated in the provided images. The assayer Yakov Nikolayevich Lyapunov was an extremely important Imperial European assayer in St Peters castle who assayed many important Imperial eggs such as the 1891 Memory of Asv Egg and the 1899 Madonna Lily Clock Egg. Weighs approximately 6.7 grams. Approximately 2.27 cm (14/16 of an inch) in height from top hallmark attachment loop (not including the loose oval hallmarked bale) to bottom of cabochon sapphire, and approximately 1.5 to 1.55 cm (9.3/16 to 9.7/16 of an inch) at its widest opposing center rose cut diamonds, the range is due to the rose cut diamonds being manually cut. The precious white metal forming the lily flower frames is either silver, white gold or platinum, I am inclined to believe silver due to the tarnish, darker surfaces. Arguably one of the most important egg charms related to the Lilies of the Valley imperial eggs. I have seen brooches with similar designs but only this one as a pendant and what more in the form of their main theme, an Easter egg, now how cool is that ?! There are approximately twelve rose cut diamonds lily flowers all perfectly distributed which takes exceptional math skills such as the one high quality skills goldsmith illustrated. Another reason why its important is the fact an amateur copy (a mickey mouse copy if you will) of it was created that ended up in the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts and declared as an original (Before last image, not included in sale, for reference only)! Haha ! They only created high quality beautiful objects which require exceptional skill so you be the judge. The forged copy to try to persuade authenticity since it was so ugly had some melted glass residue placed to convince of its authenticity since enameling is a bit challenging and one of Faberges' trade marks, but as you can see the original needed no enamel to enhance its perfection. I used to not understand why they would place a cabochon stone on the bottom of an egg charm until I acquired one, you see his jewels were not just created to enjoy the viewing but also the handling and playing, after all they are Easter eggs ! So one can place an index finger over the top loop and the thumb under the cabochon stone and with the free hand index finger slightly spin or rotate the egg, but do so carefully over a soft surface in case it slips; )So if your hunting for an Easter egg jewel that is the most closely related to the Imperial Lilies of the Valley then your search ends here ! You have found the coolest Lilies of the Valley egg charm or Jewel ! I am currently pricing this one so that its in the means of most of y'all for now as a Spring Special ! But don't wait too long for someone else might grab it or the price might climb higher as the money goes lower in value ! Feel free to check out my other Museum Quality Egg Collection ! * One of the lower precious white metal lily frames was slightly cleaned, the rest were left as is to illustrate age. The egg was partly cleansed before thus the darker areas of the lily frames.Lilies of the Valley is considered the second most beautiful after the Winter Ice egg for which I have the best representatives of both in the egg charm pendants world.* Last two images, not included in sale, for reference only !Invest wisely for historical handcrafted jewels like this will only appreciate in value unlike the mass produced junk of modern times which are extremely harmful to the environment ! Recycle by investing in history !Invest In Beauty & God Bless 🌷
