Description: Inuit Soapstone Carving Of An Inuit Seal Hunter Signed 11 Inches This is an amazing large soapstone that is approx 11 inches in length and height and weighs close to 25 pounds or approx 11.36 KG. The artist has signed the bottom with the number 1760 which corresponds to Paulosie Weetaluktuk. The style of the carving also matches the artists work. Please do your own due diligence on the artist as I’m by no means an expert. There are some small marks on the carving however not that many. The biggest potential issue is on the base where it looks like there is a chip near the back of the stand and a few small ones on it. Im making the assumption its damage vs by design but either way does not impact the beauty of this Carving. For any interested American buyers I’ve estimated the shipping costs at 45.00. It’s hard to know based on location so if I’ve over charged I will refund the difference of the shipping costs.
