These are 2013 stock. One of the oldest continuous bloodlines in the hobby. A great display species. Not super timid. c.f. Pallasii (formerly Frontisotre) “Croation Giant” - These big boys and girls make a great display pet species. They are very chill and unless you disturb them they will go about their business. Almost a gunmetal grey color, super cool. Granulatum “Yellow Spanish” - Light to Dark Grey with Yellow on their backs. Comparatively longer living than other species. Another fantastic display species that likes to be out and about in their enclosure. Vulgare “Punta Cana” - A fun species to observe. A more temperate species that enjoys a gradient of both moisture and humidity. Can take a little time to establish and breed but when they do the litters are huge. A rainbow of colors from yellow to tan to dark brown occur naturally in this species. Some even with marking on their back, Can take up to 2 years to fully mature. Peraccae “Blue” - A beautiful light Grey/Blue species. These establish quickly and are the fastest breeders I have kept in my collection. Pretty chill and not too timid. Super cool looking Isopod. Easy to keep. Good for display. PORCELLIO Dilatatus “Giant Canyon” - These guys are a blast. They are big Grey scaredy cats. This species scatters like roaches to hide when you open their enclosure or lift whatever they happen to be hiding under. They are the fastest Isopod in my collection. They enjoy a good substrate moisture gradient because they love to burrow. When I open their bin I always see some of their butts disappearing into their burrows and the others running like jack rabbits. Not the best display species but they are lots of fun to keep. ____________________________ I keep all of my Isopods with Large White Springtails (Folsomia Candida). I try my best to keep them out of orders but they always find a way to hitch a ride and WILL show up in orders. I recommend that all of my customers keep springtails with their Isopods as they will control any fungus/mold issues that may develop and they also take care of themselves for the most part. I will happily include extra springtails that will be enough to “seed” a new enclosure. That way you won’t have to purchase a springtail culture of your own.With that said,…If you DO NOT want springtails at all, please purchase from another breeder. I will not entertain complaints or refunds based on there being springtails in your order. I ship on Mondays and Tuesdays only. That way I can ensure your Isopods have the best chance of getting to you safe and sound. It also helps keep my shipping prices low.
