Description: The iconic Sadler tank teapot in the very rare and scarce cobalt blue and silver colorway. Who is the driver of the tank, some have said Churchill (it does look like him) but most believe it's Old Bill the First War cartoon character of Bruce Bairnsfather. Bairnsfather’s art was extremely popular during the war/inter-war years and many cartoon images were produced which were used on plates, mugs and car mascots. There is some color fading/missing on the bottom front edge, on the top inside rim, and underneath where you can see partial "Made in England." - I have tried my best to capture this in pictures. Otherwise this piece is in great condition with minimal signs of age and wear. A beautiful representation of a past era and a must have for any avid collector. Measures:L10.5" x W7" x H4"Will be packaged with extreme care to ensure safe journey to its new home ♥.
