Translation of insert: Ajiro Sano About 150 years ago, the wife of the feudal lord of Kashima, Hizen, Nabeshima, came up with the idea of making something out of a thin ceiling and had her vassals do it. At the time, it was called Soranishiki or Ogumimono, and was actively cultivated as a "handicraft" by the Kashima Nabeshima family and the Ooku. It was discontinued in the early Meiji period, but was later revived by nobles and further improved and developed. In addition to the traditional designs, exquisite and sophisticated weaving patterns were eventually devised that included flowers and birds, landscapes, patterns, and other designs that were rich in artistic beauty. Around that time, it was renamed "Saga Nishiki" and has been passed down to the present day. "Saga Nishiki" is a specially made gold, silver, and lacquer leaf paper with cut lines. Vertical Reproduction prohibited side The paper is then folded into a lightweight paper and woven with silk thread, which requires extremely sophisticated techniques and many days to produce. It was therefore considered impossible to turn this handicraft into a textile product, and after much research, the successful product was the traditional authentic Saga Nishiki, which uses gold and silver flat foil for the warp and round gold and silver thread or round threads for the threads. This product makes full use of advanced techniques to add elegance to luxury and is a harmonious product, and we are confident that it will be widely loved by everyone. White Book
