Yairi model SO-MH1 parlor acoustic guitar is in near mint condition, complete with the original hardshell case. These are actual photos of the one you will get. I would like to call it mint but someone always finds some tiny thing on it when I use that term and disagreements occur, so I am calling it near mint. A very rare model only marketed directly to the Japanese populace, the SO-MH1 is an incredibly well-crafted X-braced parlor guitar with a striking satin Violin Burst finish on the solid spruce top. With mahogany back, sides, and neck, and a 13 1/2" lower bout width, this Yairi delivers a tone with tons of projection and top end cut. The bass response is growly and restrained, and the sound is very balanced across all strings offering good articulation when fingerpicked. The mahogany neck has an inviting V shaped profile measuring .820" deep at the 1st fret and .915" at the 9th where the profile begins to gently taper into the heel. On the rosewood fretboard the slender fretwire is flawless, and the guitar plays easily up the 25 1/8" scale. The nut is a hand-carved and polished piece of bone measuring 1 5/8" in width, and the headstock is fitted with flawless chrome Gotoh 510 Super Machine Heads. The top features a subtle abalone rosette, clear teardrop pickguard, and a rosewood bridge fitted with a compensated bone saddle which features 2 1/8" string spacing. Small "K Yairi" script is subtly engraved in the top on the lower bout, and this parlor guitar is an exceptional, like-new X braced acoustic with a quality and tone befitting the Yairi name and celebrated Japanese construction. The original hardshell case is included.
