All figures cast in lead-free tin pewter.US Artillery in several eras. Early and late-war uniforms are featured, as well as militia artillery and sailors (Joshua Barney's Flotillamen).Six artillery crew in the mid-war uniform; laced coatee and either felt shako or leather "yeoman crowned" shako (figures will work for either cap). The poses are, from left to right: Holding portfire Leaning on trail spike, watching target Carrying ball with wood sabot Ramming load Tending vent; holding shako over fuse to prevent accidental discharge, awaiting order. The portfire held quick-match in a paper tube and was used to set off the gun. The linstock (with coils of fuse wound around it) was spiked into the ground behind the position and was the ready-supply of fire to the crew from which the portfire was lit. The arms on these figures can be bent slightly to adjust them to the gun model you're using.US cannon crew. One piece metal figures, integral bases. 28mm scale.Pack contains six crew.
