Description: KOSMOS "Radio Technician" Electronic Experimenter's Kit - NIB! Originally made in W. Germany (a descendant of Thames & Kosmos, makers of radio and electronics kits beginning in the 1930s), this "Radio Technician" kit provides the materials and instructions for 100+ projects including an AM receiver. Using classic Fahnestock clips, no tools or soldering required, with all components and layout boards included. Most importantly, this kit is NEW, in its original box, and NEVER BEEN OPENED. Take a good look at the molded plastic cover (taped down onto the inside box), through which you can see the vacuum tube, resistors, original battery, various tuning coils, mounted transistor, headphone, bulbs, connecting clips, and hookup wire. The only component that seems to be hidden (likely in one of the other compartments, since the box is unopened) is a resistor or capacitor. The manual, untouched, is in German, but all schematics, diagrams, and illustrations are self-explanatory. From what I can determine, this is the update of a 1952 KOSMOS kit, and may be from 1973. In any case, it is extremely rare, never used, and in perfect condition. [Full disclosure: there is a small section of the plastic under-box which has seems to have been torn, but this in no way affects the integrity of the main package and its components.] * Shipping only within the continental U.S.
