Description: Kromex 17" Tray Vintage MCM Circa Late 50s/Early 60s Alcoa Made In USA:Weight: 1 lbLength: 17-1/2" handle to handle, 15-1/4" across trayWidth: 6-1/2"Height: 3/4" Sleek and beautiful in its simplicity, this tray is in great vintage condition. This would be a great addition to any serveware set. There is some scratching on the bottom (see photos). The handles are riveted well with no loosening and have a darker tint than the tray. The top has a few small scratches commensurate with use. This would be great to serve appetizers on. It would be awesome for a taco or hot dog bar for shredded cheese, tomatoes, onions, etc. For the history-oriented folks out there: Kromex was first produced by Alcoa Aluminum Company around 1957. Kromex specialized in kitchenware and serveware. Despite being very popular, Kromex was only offered for a short period of time. Kromex products were known for having clean lines, sleek features, and durability. Kromex was phased out during the early 1960s after Alcoa was bought by Reynold’s Aluminum.
