Description: HANDMADE KYDEX SHEATH Handmade to fit the Ka-Bar 1217 USMC knife that is 11.875" overall with 7" blade that is 0.165" thick and polished stacked leather handle. Please note that there have been many versions of this famous knife made over the decades by many different manufacturers. This sheath was molded directly to the Model 1217 that you see in the pictures. Other versions that are larger, thicker or have a larger guard will not work at all. .080 Black Boltaron (kydex) Includes drop style clip with swiveling flat base that will attach perfectly to a sheath and allows up to 360 degrees of rotation by hand with a self-locking nut. Made of 6/6 nylon and has a 2 inch belt opening. Give a strong twist with the clip in your hand to adjust the angle of carry. 3/4" eyelet spacing would allow you to substitute your own compatible clip. For replacement of the sheath that comes with the knife. You may want to use this sheath in the outdoors and keep the original sheath pristine. Or maybe the dog ate your original sheath.... Pictures are of the sheath you will receive so look carefully. The sheath only fits the models noted. As is normal with Kydex, you may need to gently heat the throat and adjust the fit of the handle as your knife may be more or less worn than the one that I used for a form. NOTE: Kydex is a hard material and is most commonly used for outdoor use. It is very likely to leave marks on the blade or handle of the knife so don't use it on a new knife that you are trying to keep pristine. Please note that belt clips including Tek-Lok, Dots-Lok and G-Clip are all mounted behind the blade and will cause the sheath to ride high. Be sure and take a look at the back of the sheath in the pictures.... NOTE: you are buying one sheath. Knife is NOT included.
