The vase is large and heavy, measuring 23" tall and about 8" wide. The vase was made c. 1850 - 1890, perhaps earlier. There is a small piece of the original red wax seal from the Chinese government on the underside. The vase is in very good condition, with some minor issues related to age. (1) The backside of the upper rim has a very thin 4" long area with glaze wear to the extreme edge. It is relatively difficult to notice, and is on the back side of the vase. It occurred from general shelf wear, where that portion of the vase contacted the back of the shelf. This wear is old, and properly darkened with age. (2) There is some minor "spider-webbing" on the underside of the vase, age-typical, and it does not impact the structural viability of the vase, and (3) there is a thin 4" "scratch" near the bottom of the vase. It is faint, and under the glaze, so it is not an actual scratch, but something that occurred through aging or manufacture.
