Description: Measuring 5" in diameter by 7" tall, this 19th-century Mortar is well turned out of a solid piece of Lignum Vitae, it still retains its original surface and the only problem are a few old tight shrinkage cracks on the base only. Overall this early Mortar is in very good condition. The original Pestle measures 2 1/2" in diameter by 9 1/2" long. It, too, has a few old small shrinkage cracks. Very nice old piece with its original patina. Never cleaned.
