Description: This late 1800s early 1900s long christening gown was found in a family trunk. It is cotton with white on white geometric block trim. As it has been stored for decades there is soiling, brown/rust spots and a few holes. Needs some love. It looks as if it was to be tied by a ribbon in the back as there are "button holes" on either side of the closure. I have not found any ribbon in the trunk which would match. It measures shoulder to shoulder 7.5 inches, 11 inches armpit to armpit , and is 38 inches from nape pf the neck to hem. It has not been cleaned and is sold as-is. I do my best to point out all condition issues and provide a detailed description and photographs. Please see photos for condition and ask if you have questions.
