However, I can attest that they are in a controlled, tempered, and smoke-free environment after I purchase them. I consider myself to have a fair sense of smell and typically will describe in a listing if a book has a musty or smoke odor that stands out to me when handling it. I sometimes use 3rd party packaging when shipping items. This helps to cut down on shipping material costs.
