Description: Lionel Early Postwar FLYING SHOE COUPLERS, complete, TWO Pieces ,TESTED, NOS, EXC This lot consists of TWO early coil couplers, as installed on Flying Shoe trucks in the first few years after WWII. I have tested each one - the knuckle opens and closes, and the coil releases the closed knuckle when activated. These were either not installed by Lionel in the factory, or were taken off of damaged production items. Some have had the solder lug which connects to the coil soldered, some have not. Not many of these still exist 'in the wild'! Don't wait too long...they may disappear.
