Because the book was self-published, that's all the information I had. I believe the book was meant to be given to people who visited the house, but was never really sold to the public. Photos 6 and 7 show the Blessing of Little Lake Lodge by Chief Red Cloud, a Ute Indian and his family in the Spring of 1994. According to Lynda Resnick, this was the Utes Land until early miners forced the Tribe's relocation to Utah so miners could hoard a mother lode of silver without distraction. I (Lynda Resnick) felt this moment (Blessing of Little Lake Lodge) was the key to the future happiness of our home. As the snow began to melt, the Utes did their dances, giving their blessing to what was to become the Greatest Homestead in Aspen. Mary Elizabeth Jane Colter (April 4, 1869 - January 8, 1958 was an American Architect and Designer. She was one of the very few female architects in her day. She was the designer of many landmark buildings for the Fred Harvey Company and the Santa Fe Railroad, notably in the Grand Canyon National Park. Her work had enormous influence as she helped to create a style a style, blending Spanish Colonial Revival and Mission Revival Architecture with Native American motifs and rustic elements, that became popular throughout the Southwest. Acolay Cermamic's was a French Company, Poterie d'Accolay that produced a wide range of unique and mass produced ceramic pieces from 1945 to 1989. The company was founded by four former students of Alexandre Kostanda and was known for its technical inventiveness and large production. In Frace the company took over service stations along the N7 motorway and turned them into exhibition sites for tourists. N6 motorway is the road from Paris to Lyons. Also shown are Thomas Molesworth inspired dining chairs with the Little Lake Lodge logo. Photos 20 and 21 show the Meadows Suite with background on Thomas Molesworth. Photo # 22 shows the Herman Aitkins MacNeil statue, The Solitary Chief, 20th Century. Herman MacNeil (February 27, 1866 - October 2, 1947 born in Everett, Massachusetts. He is best known designing the Standing Liberty Quarter struck by the United States Mint from 1916 to 1930, and for sculpting, Justice, the Guardian of Liberty on the east pediment of the United States Supreme Court Building.
