Description: Louis Icart (France 1888 - 1928) wonderful art deco Drypoint etching aquatint titled "Zest" or "L'Elan", c1928. Beautiful young girl and her greyhounds in original period, red, green, and gilt wood frame. Frame measures 28" x 21.5" Art measures 26" x 20.5" Signed in pencil by the artist and has embossed windmill mark on the lower left. Good color and contrast. Extremely light toning. Original signed Louis Icart (1888 - 1928) drypoint etching "Zest" and titled "L Elan" in French. Beautiful young lady surrounded by her greyhound dogs. Signed in pencil on the bottom right hand corner and is embossed with the windmill mark on the lower left corner. The condition of this antique print requires selective conservation with particularly along the left side of the picture frame and the interface with the the background for the actual image that is has been overlayed. I have decided that the new Owner should be given the opportunity to decide how to best address this condition since there are numerous conservation options. This price of this piece has been reduced to cover some of the cost of this remediation effort. All reasonable offers will be taken seriously.
