Description: Maker: On the reverse of this lovely cup and saucer is the red back stamp number 34 of Theodore Haviland, one of the great Limoges firms at the turn of the last century. According to the third edition of the Collector's Encyclopedia of Limoges Porcelain by Mary Frank Gaston, this mark was in use between 1904 and the 1920s. Design: The pattern - called Schleiger H2402 - features lovely yellow roses and green leaves against a background of fine white porcelain. It's beautifully hand painted, in keeping with the exceptionally high quality that made the company's porcelain so famous and so coveted. Haviland pattern identification disclaimer: Haviland produced between 30,000 and 60,000 china patterns, many with only slight variations, and the identification of this item's pattern is not guaranteed. If you are trying to match a Haviland pattern, please check all the photos in this listing very carefully against your own items to be sure this is the right pattern for you. Size: The cup is 3 1/4 inches wide and 2 inches tall. The saucer is 4 7/8 inches wide. The set weighs 4.5 ounces. Condition: Both pieces are in excellent condition with no nicks, chips, cracks, scratches, stains, discoloration, repairs, crazing or wear. Please check all the photos very carefully - they are an important part of the description.
