Selling one of our clean, fully working Macs : MACINTOSH LC II computer ready for BlueSCSI "Hard Drive" Here is what is included in this eBay sale: - MACINTOSH LC II - 6 mb total memory - The logic board and power supply have been Recapped then passed a 24-hour runtime test using Snooper diagnostics. - Apple 1.44 mb floppy disk drive. The drive was disassembled, cleaned, lubricated, heads cleaned then reassembled. It was tested to read, write, copy and delete files. Disks insert and eject without issue. - Mac memory installed in the video memory slot. - No Apple hard disk drive. A BlueSCSI device will be the upgrade. the internal BlueSCSI device is available at: https://www.ebay.com/usr/jwg1?mk for about $50 (This preferred seller will give you a discount) I am including the MicroSD card and adapter that fits in the BlueSCSI, with all the software installed. THERE IS NO BLUESCSI DEVICE INCLUDED IN THIS EBAY SALE, YOU MUST PURCHASE THAT FROM OUR PREFERRED SELLER (see link in this note) OR OTHER. - On the MicroSD Memory Card. 1 gb Volumes for OS 7.1, OS 7.5.5, OS 7.6.1 and a Storage Volume. The Mac can boot into any OS Volume. - The MicroSD card has four 1 GB Volumes with OS 7.1, OS 7.5.5, OS 7.6.1 and one for more Storage, The Volumes are loaded with nearly 1 GB of software. A 1 GB Volume can be added for each SCSI I.D. This Mac can boot any OS Volume on the MicroSD Card. - DVD's will be included that have the same files that are on the MicroSD Card, just in case you need them. - New battery installed 06-21-2024 - Please see photos for condition of case with minor yellowing on one side and towards the back. Please note:Power Supplies We do not use the readily available low price capacitors that are in many cases counterfeit copies. They often don’t meet the high temperature and low ESR specifications required for reliable operation in the switching power supplies as found in a vintage Mac. The small tight packaging of the LC power supply is hard on any capacitor and the cheap capacitors will not survive this harsh environment very long. We only use high quality name brand components that are sourced from authorized distributors and guaranteed not to be counterfeit. They are more expensive and often harder to get as most modern manufacturing has transitioned from through hole components as used in the LC power supply to surface mounted technology. Logic Boards: We have switched to recapping the logic boards with Tantalum capacitors instead of the original Electrolytic type that had so many failures. The Tantalum capacitors consist of a solid pellet and don’t contain the corrosive electrolyte that eats up the logic board when they fail and leak (and they do). Tantalum capacitors also offer very high reliability but you need to upgrade the voltage ratings over the original capacitors. We are using 25 volt rated capacitors on the 5 and 12 volt circuits to give you that extra reliability. We have the best customers in the world, because we sell all over the world!
