While it is certainly visually stunning, this koa is hand-selected to ensure it is the proper density with correct flexibility to deliver the most responsive and lush orchestra model tones.If you have always wanted a Martin that will give you the sweetest koa tones, incredible response and classic Martin warmth, this instrument will be your holy grail!The orchestra body style gives players an incredibly comfortable feel and world-class balance with excellent clarity. Players will find the top to be very responsive which allows fingerstyle players to draw out beautiful complex tones and players using a pick will find many overtones with all of the different levels of pick attack. The full bass response is met with a lively mids and a brisk top end that is crisp but not brittle.To provide the most articulate tone and to maximize top-end output, we have selected ¼” scalloped bracing. The slightly thinner bracing allows the top to have maximum flexibility which creates tons of tone and plenty of headroom. This body shape with the ¼” bracing is the best match for the tonewood set.
