These listings are designed to maximize the volume and minimize the cost using flat rate boxes. Additionally, I include more volume than stated, but the weight varies by tree species. These chips/mulch come from trees grown here in Colorado that were professionally removed and chipped through a giant chipper. This means the mulch is a mix of wood chips, slivers, leaves, pine needles etc. I recommend handling outside with gloves. The chipper is designed to kill any bugs that may have killed the tree but it is common for new bugs to enter the chips after chipping.
