Description: For only three years (1978-80), the mint in Mexico City issued this commemorative coin, which features the stamping press in service at that time. It was called "de balancin"—"of sway" because the weighted pole on top would be spun with enough speed to force the spiraling stamp toward and mint the coin. In 1983, the mint was relocated to San Luis Potosi.
