Description: ROGER B. TANEY WOODEN MODEL SHIP KIT. This is a vintage kit produced by MODEL SHIPWAYS, of Bogata, NJ. I believe this kit is over thirty years old and it appears to be unopened and all the parts are intact. The inner bag holding the fittings is unopened/sealed. The outer box shows some staining and storage wear, but interior contents are clean and look look new. This vessel was one of the Morris class, a successful design from which 7 cutters were built. It is distinctly patterned on "Baltimore Clipper" features such as extreme rake of masts, drag of keel, and great deadrise of floors, etc. Interesting facts on this type of boat are to be found in "History of American Sailing Ships," by H.
