They were issued from 1771-4 and as time went on the quality got even worse. The weight of this particular denomination was supposed to be 24 gms. but genuine issues vary widely from 14 to 24 gms. This coin is 14.38 gms. The planchet is poor but I do not believe this is damage as the edge design is present all around the coin except for the missing parts at 8 o'clock.
