Each kit includes two pounds of hardwood and soy hull substrate with an equal portion of Florida tap water. The substrate is sterilized at 15 PSI for one hour. If your kit is not already fully colonized upon purchase, have no fear. Keep it in a dark closet, or cabinet, and monitor the window for colonization. Simply place the kit near a window where you have indirect sunlight at room temperature and cut open the bag using a knife in a X shape. Mist the kit two to three times per day. The kits will form pins and eventually mushrooms. You can expect two to three flushes, providing you keep misting it properly, and monitor light and temperature.
