Description: Signed Steuben ARCTIC ICE BEAR James Houston design 1974 Consider this Steuben treasure, a signed new** in excellent original red leather box Arctic Ice Bear of legendary fame. A heavy fire polished cut and angled crystal ice floe magnifies and refracts the light into a rainbow pattern. Poised atop the ice, a sterling silver polar bear gazes into the crystal clear water below searching for seals and other prey. An early creation of the famed Steuben designer, writer and outdoorsman, the late James Houston, noted for Arctic Fisherman, Ice Hunter, Trout and Fly, Eagle on Globe, Trumpeting Elephant and Sea Otter among others--a rare find in gift ready condition. At approx. 5" tall by 6" wide and approx. 5lbs, this Steuben classic is crystal clear new in correct original box with no chips, no cracks, no scratches or signs of use to the glass, no damage to the sterling silver polar bear and no display wear on the bottom. The crystal ice block is fully signed "steuben" in script. This will be packed in it's original correct fine condition vintage red leather fitted box.
