The objective is to race around the board by moving your marbles and partner’s marbles, if applicable, from start to finish before your competitors. (Starting layout shown on back of laminated instructions.) SUMMARY: A fun, exciting, highly competitive game. Race around the board by moving your marbles & partner’s marbles (when applicable), from START to HOME, before your competitor, sending them back. The faster the game is played, the more exciting it becomes. Good luck on your Team’s race to HOME! Game Setup: This is a 4-player only game. Each player has 4 matching marbles/die & places them in START position (See diagram on back). The player sitting directly across from you is your teammate. Your opponents are the players on your right & left. To determine who goes first all players roll their die & whoever has the highest number goes first. In case of a tie, only the players who rolled a tie, roll again. Top roller then rolls to START the game taking turns clockwise. Objective: To move all four of your marbles from START around the perimeter of the board & placing them safely in HOME. Once a player has all of their marbles in HOME, they will then be able to assist their partner, on each roll, to do the same. In this scenario you now have two partners rolling, on their respective turn, moving one teammates’ marbles to HOME. The first TEAM to successfully move all their marbles into their own designated HOME is the winner. Rules: To begin the race & exit the START position with your first marble you must roll a 1 or 6 placing the marble on the corresponding space on the diagram. Throughout the game when a 6 is rolled, you may roll again, as many times as a 6 is thrown. Even if a player cannot move (example: if only one marble is in play & has only 3 spaces left to get into HOME) every time a 6 is rolled you may roll again to see if a move is possible. Each player takes a turn rolling his die. With each roll, move the number of spaces shown on the die. If a number is rolled that does not allow a marble to be moved, that player forfeits that turn. As you move around the board, you may jump over another player, but cannot jump over or pass your own marble. EXAMPLE: If you have one marble on space 3, on your HOME row, & you roll a 6 you cannot bring out a second marble because you would be passing or jumping your other marble-You would have to move your 1st marble the 6 spaces. If you land on a space already occupied, the occupied marble is sent back to their START position. Then again only a 1 or 6 can be rolled to get out of START & back into play. Every roll of the die must then be used with the exact number of spaces on the die rolled, even it is to the detriment of your teammate. If you have a move you must take it even if it means sending one of your partner’s marbles back to START. When moving into HOME, the exact number of spaces must be rolled. Dice must be rolled on the table, & may not land on the board. Strategies: : It is a wise idea to have several marbles in play at any one time because chances are one of them will be “killed” and sent home before hitting HOME. The more marbles in play provide more opportunities to kill & be killed. Try to stay far ahead of the other players or right behind them so that they cannot kill you to send you back to START. SHORTCUT: Only one short cut from START to HOME & can only be used from your own START row by moving into the center space. Where ever you are on those first 6 START spaces you must roll the exact number of spaces to enter the center space (EXAMPLE: if you are on space 1, you must roll a 6 to enter the center. If you are on space 4, you must roll a 3 to enter the center. Once in the center you must roll a 1 to exit the “short cut” on the descending route to your HOME (see squiggle lines on diagram).
