Description: Norwegian Wood follows Toru, a young man navigating love, loss, and identity against the nostalgic backdrop of 1960s Tokyo. It follows exploration of the fragility of human relationships and the idea of love in Haruki Murakami’s trademark way. There are signs of wear, pictured, but the pages are all in excellent condition. I’ll put it bluntly - this book left a bad taste in my mouth. I didn’t like how Murakami wrote about women and romance. It felt really objectifying and inconsiderate. That being said, I gave it 4 stars, because Murakami’s prose and technicality is just. As a writer, his talent is undeniable, and it felt like reading poetry at some points.
