LOOK AT THE GIANT LUMBERJACK, named Charles Burton!!!...Michigan Logging and Lumber History and Heritage...NW Charlevoix Clarion Springvale MI c.1908 RPPC Logging Operations by THE CARROLL CAMP CREW, and possibly the Sawmill they serviced in Charlevoix's Chandler Township. Logging & Resort Era in Charlevoix, Emmet and Antrim Counties. Most of this series on cards came from and were tagged as CLARION & SPRINGVALE, both Charlevoix County GHOST TOWN'S!!! Unsure of the name of the Lumber Company that operated the Loggers and the Sawmills. Some of the lumber was most likely taken to Boyne City, with some possibly taken by logging railroad or on GR & I (Grand Rapids & Indiana RR), especially from Springvale, to various Cadillac COBBS & MITCHELL Mills. ...What a great set of Michigan Logging Heritage Antique Postcards!...
