Description: Offered for your consideration is one (1) DESIGN ACOUSTICS two-way crossover network removed from their PS-8b “Point Source” speakers, made c.1988. The PS-8b, like the earlier PS-8a, used this crossover to divide an 8” woofer from 1” dome tweeter, both 8Ω nominally rated, at 2kHz. So, please take a look at the large photos and read the remaining description to decide if this quality-made crossover is suitable for your needs. This crossover is in clean, excellent all-around shape with no scratches or cracks on the faceplate. It features sizeable capacitors, resistors, a heavily-wound copper inductor and functions perfectly. Plus, the spring tab +/- terminals are free of issues and hold speaker cable very tight. And, I’ve separated all of the wires for you, binding them neatly in pairs with ties. Lastly, the terminal plate flange measures 2¼” square, sits 3½” deep not including the wires, and requires roughly a 2” cutout (if considering for a speaker project cabinet). This is a nice find if one of your PS-8 crossovers isn’t working properly, has a broken terminal(s), etc. and will have your speaker sounding its finest once again.
