It is traditionally drawn using only one brushstroke as a meditative practice in letting go of the mind and allowing the body to create, as the singular brushstroke allows for modifications. Thich Nhat Hanh was a Vietnamese Buddhist monk, teacher, spiritual leader, peace activist & poet who was one of the world's most influential Zen masters, spreading messages of mindfulness, compassion and nonviolence. His teachings, writings & messages invoke peace though mindfulness; paying attention to the breath and the moment you are in right now. In 1966 Thich Nhat Hanh travelled to the U.S. to make a case for peace and to call an end to hostilities in Vietnam. It was during tis trip that he first met Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. who nominated him for a Nobel Prize in 1967 calling him an "Apostle or peace and nonviolence" *Please see others that are for sale. I think this would make for a very special gift for the holidays for someone or for yourself.
