As a lifelong artist and award winning watercolor artist, he spent 30 years of his life as a staff artist at several major comic book publishing companies during the comic book 'Golden Age' era. He was tremendously respected for his artistic talents. This watercolor was painted Jan. 3, 1989 in the last year of his life. He died on December 15, 1989.
