Description: For sale is an Original WW2 Period French Legion of Volunteers & Combatants Badge. WW2 Combatant's badge (with sword) of the French Legion of Volunteers and Combatants of the National Revolution 1940 to 1944. This Organization was established in 1940 by General Petain and reflected the attempt of the Government of Vichy to substitute and control the already existing Veterans Associations of France. The organization lived shortly (until the liberation of France in 1944) just like all the other Vichy institutions. It was banned following the end of WW2. This is Maker marked : J.
