As the Stylus is NEW there will be a 20-30 hour break-in period before the cartridge reveals it designed audio characteristics. This OM Cartridge also has the removeable weight plate for tonearm compliance (See Note Below). A Note on Ortofon OM Cartridges: Ortofon OM Cartridges are designed to match any tonearm. To facilitate this on the top of the OM Cartridge is a removable tiny gold weight plate (See: Pic #4). If your tonearm is a standard (medium or high mass) tonearm, simply leave the weight plate installed. If your tonearm is a low-mass tonearm simply remove the weight which lowers the cartridge mass to a mere 2.5 grams. Look closely at the photos. What you see is what you get.
