Description: Offered for sale is a gorgeous center-handled server in the "Spring Orchard" pattern. This pattern was manufactured by the Paden City Glass Company and I found it referenced in the great book "Encyclopedia of Paden City Glass - Identification and Values" by Carrie and Jerry Domitz (copyright 2004). This server is shown on page 188 on the bottom left and the value listed for it back then was $120-$135 dollars. This reverse etching features daisies (flowers) and swallows (birds) and is a busy pattern. The piece has an overall ART DECO look with the round server and round handle contrasting (juxtaposed) with the horizontal lines in the middle. The condition is EXCELLENT with the silver edging completely intact around the entire server. There are no chips and no cracks!! Paden City Glass is fun to collect as not so much was made compared to other glass companies- it is much harder to find!!
