Description: This is a pair of authentic, vintage 1930’s - 1950’s Headlight Assemblies or Buckets. They have the hawkbill style of parking lights or turn signals on top. They look exactly like the Guide 682-C style of headlamp from that time period, but they do not have the metal tag with the Guide name on them. Some people say that means they are aftermarket Guides, and they certainly look the same, but I don’t claim to know enough about it to say. They have been stored inside for many years so they still feel quite solid. I got them from a friend who rescued them from a barn he was demolishing in the 70’s, so they have been inside for at least that long and probably longer. Please look at the pictures carefully. They have two small dents and a lot of scuffs and scratches in the black paint. There is some surface rust, particularly on the chrome trim rings and the bolts underneath, but still appear to be in better condition than most of the other unrestored, vintage original headlamps currently available. The old guy whose barn they were in was quoted as having said he thought they were “Originally on a Chevy…. Or maybe a Dodge………..or they could have come off a Ford... but probably a Chevy.” Make of that what you will. These would be perfect for a restoration, hot rod or rat rod project.
