What do you get for very little money? A really good Panasonic MASH CD player (with 1 bit DAC) produced at a time when Panasonic had been making excellent CD players with few compromises. If that wasn't enough this unit includes a magical feature which Panasonic called the SOUND VIRTUALIZER- an integrated circuit chip best described as a "Spatializer" which opens up the sound-leaving mid-range sounds clear and present while adding additional width, depth and drama to music. The silver version of Realistic's renowned Minimus 7 mini-speaker mates perfectly with the Panasonic's cosmetics and offers a high level of performance in a small package. A reviewer noted: “Little only in size, not in performance”, was how Realistic described its Minimus-7 "Metal Cabinet Speaker System” back in 1977. In 2021, it’s still surprisingly capable and relevant. The quality is evident. It’s a very well finished product . Sonically, it is what it is.
