Description: For sale is a 19.5 inch Alice in Wonderland doll, which is one of a series of "Pauline's Limited Edition Dolls" by doll artist Pauline Bjonness-Jacobsen. Alice is #572 of a Limited Edition of 1500 dolls. She comes with her original accessories--blue headband & white rabbit--and all of her original paperwork, including Certificate of Authenticity, as well as her original box with tissue paper still in place. She is hand signed and numbered on her torso by doll artist Pauline Jacobsen. She is a porcelain doll with a weighted cloth body and is exceptionally well made. She has a lovely wistful expression on her beautiful face--the artistry is just spectacular. This doll in all original condition and is quite pristine. She may have been displayed but she has not been played with. It appears that the elastic of her pantaloons has relaxed over time but otherwise she is just about perfect! Alice has stunning blue eyes, hand-knotted human hair eyelashes and long silky hair. She is dressed in a lovely pale blue dress and white organza apron with "Alice" and tiny flowers embroidered on the yoke. The white socks and black shoes peaking out from under her long dress are in perfect shape. Her white rabbit with blue bow tie and gold leaf timepiece is well made and adorable. Alice comes with her original wrist tags and price tag, as well as all original paperwork. This includes COA encased in plastic, autobiographical letter to purchaser from Pauline, list of other Limited Edition dolls by the artist, photo of all of the Limited Edition dolls based on fairy tales, a detailed description of Alice "through the looking glass" and a photo of Pauline Bjonness-Jacobsen surrounded by her dolls. The pictures of the Limited Edition dolls and Pauline Jacobsen are on photo paper--this is a really exceptional set. The original box is in nice shape, with minor shelf wear.
