Description: This is a great Peterson's System Standard 312 briar pipe. Because it is stamped "Made in the Republic of Ireland" and has the nickel mount stamps, that would put this pipe in the Early Republic Era (1948-1963, roughly). The pipe is the less common sandblasted version and is stained a beautiful ebony. Some factory fills are noticeable as lighter areas in the finish. In general, the pipe is in good shape. There is no charring around the rim or evident damage inside the bowl. The nickel ferrule has a couple smaller dents. The P-Lip stem is in good condition, with the exception of a tooth indentation on the bottom side of the stem near the button. All of these can be seen in the images. Overall, a very collectable piece that is waiting to be added to your collection. The pipe stand is not included. Please use the included images for your evaluation. U.S. sales only.
