Description: FOR SALE: Sophos SG 310 (Revision 1) 10-port Gigabit router/firewall running pfSense. The device is a rack-mountable router and firewall. Mounting brackets (ears) are included. To test the device and make port functions consistent with on-device labeling, we made a few changes to the initial pfSense configuration. A detailed configuration note will be provided to the buyer. Alternatively, the buyer could simply reset the software to its initial state. The device runs on an Intel i3-4330 processor with 8 GB of RAM and a 180 GB Intel SSD. The processor supports AES-NI crypto. Networking (10 Gigabit ports, eight RJ-45, two SFP) is handled by Intel network interface cards (six i211/RJ-45, two i350/RJ-45, and two i350/SFP). The device is actively cooled. During installation, we configured the Ethernet ports to match labeling on the device’s case. (Needless to say, all these settings are changeable.) We also installed and configured the LCDproc package, which allows to display system information on the device’s built-in small LCD screen. The buyer will receive detailed configuration notes so the device can be put to work right out of the box. The device is in good physical condition (please review the photos); there are some minor imperfections consistent with long-term normal use. A power cable is included.
